Youthreach learner Martin Davis achieves a National Education Achievement Award

December 20, 2019

Youthreach student Martin David has been awarded with a National Educational Achievement Award.

The award for ‘Most Likely to Succeed in Education’ was presented to Martin last year by the Exchange House Ireland National Travellers Service in recognition of the educational efforts and progress Martin has made since joining Kingscourt Youthreach.

The Exchange House Ireland National Educational Achievement Award is presented to Travellers in recognition of the hard work and commitment shown by the recipients in reaching their educational goals.

The accolade provides a chance to congratulate learners on a job well done. The award highlights role models for other Travellers who may be considering formal education and is proactive in promoting the value of formal education.

Martin Davis joined Kingscourt Youthreach in 2016 where he completed a QQI Level 3 award in Employability skills and QQI Level 4 award in General Learning.  During his time in Youthreach, Martin also took part in several other awards such as Media Expression and Music Production.

Martin has demonstrated himself as keen learner and was enthusiastic to take part in the many programmes running at the centre. Martin is currently completing his PLC Access Programme in Cavan Institute and hopes to progress to complete his QQI Level 5 in Security Studies.
