Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) partnered with Monaghan construction company, Entekra to host an open-air Information Day on Saturday 4th July at Entekra European Headquarters in Gallinagh, Monaghan.
The event showcased a Traineeship course in Building Design with 3D CAD. A Traineeship is an occupational skills development training program that is tailored to the identified needs of a specific industry sector and leads to nationally recognized qualifications. Traineeships are free to access and open to potential participants of all ages and backgrounds including school levers, older learners, and those in, or seeking employment. CMETB Training programmes are Co-funded by the European Social Fund Programme for Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
The Traineeship course in Building Design with 3D CAD was developed by CMETB in consultation with Entekra and offers students an excellent opportunity to study at Monaghan Institute while gaining 12 weeks’ work placement with Entekra. The course covers modules such as Building Technology & Design, Computer Aided Design and Architectural Drawing & Presentation. On successful completion of the course students will receive QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate. At the end of the course students will have the opportunity to interview and progress into employment with Entekra. Other students may progress to further education. Last year, the Traineeship resulted in ten candidates securing employment with Entekra.
The course commences in September 2020 and applications are now being considered for this course. Please email email@example.com for an application form.
