CMETB mark Pride Week by raising Rainbow Flag

To mark Pride week (20th-28th June 2020) Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board committed to flying the Pride flag as a sign of solidarity and support for the LGBTQI+ community in Monaghan and Cavan.

The flag has been displayed at CMETB Administration Office in Market Street in Monaghan after an unveiling by CMETB Chief Executive, John Kearney accompanied by CMETB Youth Services and Cavan and Monaghan Rainbow Youth.

Other CMETB organisations have joined the campaign, displaying both physical and virtual flags across Cavan and Monaghan including Cavan Institute, Monaghan Institute and a number of Youthreach Centres in the region.

As part of CMETB youth work provision, led by Youth Officer Maureen McIntyre, the ETB continue to work closely with local youth agencies and partners to aid the promotion of inclusion and diversity in the counties of Cavan and Monaghan.

Cavan and Monaghan Rainbow Youth is an LGBT+ service for young people aged 12-24 years. The service provides training, information and support to young people, caregivers and educators. If you would like more information please call 0872193904 or email info@camry.ie
