Kingscourt Youthreach awarded Silver Health Quality Mark

At the end of December 2019, Kingscourt Youthreach were officially awarded with a prestigious Silver Standard Health Quality Mark (HQM) by the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) in recognition of their targeted work on health promotion for young people in the area.

At a special event held in Kingscourt Youthreach centre, the official wall plaque was presented to the Youthreach centre. The award marks a significant achievement by the organisation who had to satisfy a set of rigorous criteria to meet the health quality standard.
The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) developed the Health Quality Mark (HQ Mark) as a health promotion initiative to drive youth organisations to enhance best practices and a high standard of quality in all aspects of youth health promotion.

Presenting the award, Louise Monaghan from the NYCI National Youth Health Programme said: “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all at Kingscourt Youthreach. They are committed to the highest quality standards in health promotion and it is clear, that ensuring a healthy and safe place for young people and staff is a key priority here.”
