FREE COURSES ON OFFER TO GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMME 2015

 Short information Sessions/Courses which we will organise for groups iF requested:

  1. Introduction to Social Networking and Cyberbullying for Parents/School groups – This course is a once-off information session (2 hours) designed to give parents information on what to look out for when children are using Facebook etc. Tutor: Leona Mc Enroe.
  2. Marketing Yourself/Your group on Facebook – Use Facebook as a social media marketing tool to promote your business, community, club, place or product by setting up and running a Facebook page in this 4 hour workshop.  Use Facebook pages to interact with & engage your target audience by creating events and places, and use tools such as Facebook advertising, the Admin Panel, Insight and Activity Log to monitor and evaluate the performance of facebook pages as part of a marketing campaign. Tutor: Leona Mc Enroe.
  3. Understanding your children’s nutritional needs – This course is a once-off information session (2 hours) designed to give parents information on what type of food their children should be eating, foods to avoid, labeling etc. Tutor: Elaine Murphy Byrne
  4. Introduction to Basic First Aid- This course will cover the basics of first aid including bandages, choking and use of defibrillator. Groups can specify other areas they would like to see covered. Tutor: TBC

In addition courses can be organized for Community Groups for Art Classes, Computers, Beauty, Cookery, Woodcraft, Gardening, Yoga, Personal Development, Local History, Budgeting, Crafts, Mending Clothes, and many other topics.
